To answer your question: you don't know, and there's no automated way to
tell. You'd have to ask them.
I'd be shocked if this worked. 15,000 is an incredible number of recipients
for a single message. Spam filters and other limitations are likely to prevent
it from arriving to most. The better solution is to set up mailing list
software like mailman, lyris or the like, or use a service like aweber.
The one exception (since you said "distribution group" - that could mean
many things) is if you are in a corporate or exchange environment. In that
case you should talk to the system administrators for the proper solution.
