Cat 4 *might*, but I'd be nervous about it. It depends on the
lengths and how things are run in your home.
Cat5 is considered standard for Ethernet.
If you're going to go through the effort of pre-wiring, I'd
invest and put in better cable. In fact, when I had my home
retrofitted with cable, I put in Cat5e and Cat6.
