You are correct, moving from Windows XP to Windows 2000 is
technically a DOWNgrade. Windows 2000 is the older of the two.
As a result, the only way to do it is to:
- backup any and all data you want to save
- format the partition that has Windows XP
- Install Windows 2000 to it
This is a clean install from scratch - that's the only way
to go backwards.
Thanks for asking,
