I assume you have a different computer with a CD-ROM
that works, and that you can currently boot the laptop.

What I've done in the past is to copy the entire
CD-ROM to the hard disk of the computer I want to
install it on, and then execute the setup program
that's at the root of that CD-ROM copy. As long as
you don't format the hard disk as part of th setup
this actually works quite nicely.
