Very technically, yes. Even though it's not accessing the
internet explicitly, it's still connected to it. Now, if
the router is configured properly the machine is fairly safe,
but there's still a slight possibility.

Basically I would treat it as I would any other machine
connected to the internet, and make sure it was safe and
secure.
