That's telling you the time zone as an offset from Greenwich Mean
Time (Or Universal Coordinated Time - I can never keep 'em straight).
Basically it's telling you that time is 6 hours behind GMT.
As email travels through servers in different time zones,
you'll see several different dates and times as the time zones
differ. This allows you to know exactly how those times
relate to each other in absolute terms.
