If you're certain about your security, you might grab TweakUI
and setup autologin. TweakUI for NT is here:
http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp
(If you need a different version, just search the MS site.)

As to why it would start ... I would assume either a security
update, or the addition of a second account (possibly by an
update of a component such as the .NET framework which may add
an account.)
