I'm not really as familiar with Norton Ghost, to be honest. (Like you
I shy away from other Norton products these days.)
If you want to avoid Acronis, Retrospect is another product I keep
hearing fairly consistently good things about.

I remain in the Dell camp. I expect to order another in a few weeks,
as a mater of fact. Technology may be consistant, but quality of assembly,
support, and so on can still vary widely. My track record with Dell has
been good, so I'm happy staying there.
