No. It's possible to install MS-DOS *along side* Windows,
so that when you boot your machine you would choose one
or the other.

In most cases it's not necessary, though, unless you have
some very old program that won't run in Windows. I would
first try running "command.com" and seeing if your MS-DOS
programm will run within that.
