I don't believe they need to approve anything. In fact I don't
*think* they even get notified. I just did a test between the
two myspace accounts I have for this purpose, and ... nothing.
But it's also not that hard to set up a fake myspace account
that has nothing that would identify you, and use that to subscribe.
Even if they did get notified, they wouldn't be able to tell it
was you.
Personally, I find all this kinda scary, but it's not unique to
myspace.
