You're attempting to use the pre-installed version
of Windows, which is something I would NEVER do with
a computer that has been sitting there for anyone to
play with on a display.

They *should* have included a Windows setup disk (if not,
go back and insist on getting one). Use it to reformat
and reinstall Windows from scratch. It's the only safe
thing to do.

(If you're willing to take a huge risk by not following
that advice, then this article will get you in:

but clearly, it's not what I recommend.)
