There are two things you should do:

- make sure that some other site that IS in Google's index links to your
site. Preferably more than one, and preferably with a high "page rank",
and preferably one that would make sense, topically, to link to you.

- wait. A month is, honestly, too soon to expect anything unless you're
an incredibly high profile site.

Also, make sure that you're not violating any of Google's webmaster guidelines.
