It varies from model to model. You'll need to check with Compaq
(now part of HP). The web site probably has a support section.
You'll need the specific model of computer, and the amount
of memory that's currently in it. They may then be able to
tell you specifically what kind of memory you need.

Or a local repair or computer shop can probably tell you with
that same information.
