"Many" :-). Certainly more than 5 (I've done it).
The problem here is most likely that that's a LOT of email.
Outlook does have to process each file somewhat on open, and
yep, that'll take time.
I'd see if you couldn't just run without needing all of them
open at the same time. That's what I do ... I have many PSTs
(yearly archives) but I only load them when I need them.
