Well, to begin with "PCI" cards are for desktop machines,
and wont' fit in a laptop.
However, assuming your laptop doesn't already have a built-in
wireless adapter, then yes, you can purchase either a PC-CARD
or PCMCIA adapter (these slide into a slot in your laptop), or
you can even purchase a USB wireless adapter that just plugs
into a USB port on your machine.
If you're running WIndows XP, things should work well, as it has
most of the drivers already. If you're not running Windows XP,
then check the specific card before you purchase it for what
versions of Windows it will support ... you will most likely
have to install drivers that come with the card.
