Well, there's a lot of missing information, so it'll be hard
for me to be specific.
Assuming you're running Windows XP, I would start by running the
System File Checker

A re-install of Internet Explorer (assuming that's what you're
running) could also be a good idea. http://ask-leo.com/d-ie
And finally, I'd certainly make sure that you're running up-to-date
anti-virus and anti-spyware scans regularly.
