I'm actually not aware of any way to select *just* the video
drivers at boot time. I would go the multibooting route. It doesn't
surprise me that MS's solutions might not support multiple versions
of the same OS, but I'll bet that third party solutions would.
I'd google "boot managers" - I've not tried any myself, but there
are both good, and free (and hopefully both) solutions out there.
