Unfortunately there's no single answer. Backing up involves the use of a
backup program or other software, and exactly how that program is used,
and more importantly how it's used to restore a backed up file or
folder, will depends on that program. Each backup program has its own
way of doing things, so you'll need to consult the documentation that
comes with it.
