Wow. You get the odd behaviour of the day award :-).

I would look at the TMP or TEMP environment variables. My guess
is that for some reason they are set to something that references
A:

In a command prompt just type "SET" followed by enter and look for
those two.

If they are in error, you can alter them by right clicking on
My Computer, hitting Properties, the Advanced tab and the
Environment settings button. You may need to restart outlook,
or perhaps reboot, if that turned out to be the problem.
