No, it's just likely that your CD-ROM is not one that
Windows 2000 setup will recognize. It's not easy to deal
with, but I've sometimes been able to work around it by
copying the CD-ROM image to the hard disk somewhere,
and when it prompts for the CD, point it at that instead.
But formatting the machine or removing Linux won't help.
