At best all I can say is "maybe". What you'll need to do is
check out the min requirements of the various adapters that
are available out there. Many, if not most, of the newer adapters
will require WinXP, or at least Win98 SE, so you have a tough
problem ahead of you.
I would focus on "older" adapters - perhaps old Cisco 340 (I
think it is) adapters that were available around the time that
Win98 came out. Those typically came with a CD-ROM that included
the drivers for Win98.
Another approach might be to look at wireless repeaters or
base stations. These are wireless adapters that are external, but
connect to your computer with an ethernet cable ... so they just
"look like" wired ethernet to your computer. I believe most
popular wireless manufacturer's have these now.
